Let Us Give Thanks and Praise!

Scripture readings:

Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the lands!
Serve the Lord with gladness!
Come into his presence with singing!

Know the Lord is God!
It is he that made us and we are his;
we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

Enter his gates with thanksgiving,
and his courts with praise!
Give thanks to him, bless his name!

For the Lord is good:
his steadfast love endures forever,
and his faithfulness to all generations.

(Psalms 100)

Rejoice in the Lord always; again, I will say, Rejoice. Let all know your forbearance. The Lord is at hand. Have no anxiety about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be known to God. And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, will keep your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:4-9)

Rejoice always, pray constantly, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. (1 Thessalonians 4:16-18)

What are your thanks and praises?

Thankful for Whosoever magazine and so many other positive sites for Gay Christians on the WEB. Thankful that God called many of us out into the world to work two by two — including gay twosomes! Thankful for the amazing grace of Christ Jesus who found us when we were lost and gave us hope when we were afraid!

This Christmas I was able to make peace with my family and my being gay. I was able to sing at my hometown church. At our gathering I sang for them. Most of my siblings have never heard me sing for a long time. I surprised them and amazed them. For the first time I was treated quite well. My mom didn’t like my pierced ear, but it didn’t seem to bother my stepfather that much. No one fought or argued with anyone one and everyone was just happy to be there. It was an answer to a prayer.

I praise God for giving me the strength to put the past behind me and to be able to be forgiving of my family and my ex-lover and friends. For him keeping me healthy and in good singing voice during the Advent Season. Giving me courage to face the New Year alone and be happy for what I have. For giving me the gift of patience while I wait to meet a new life mate. For the gift of music and that people respect me for it in my church. For this site on the web. It has been very helpful.

I am most thankful for God being truthful to His words and promises. I turned to Him this past week for healing and renewal and I found it. He is there to bring comfort and peace when I remember to turn to Him. At the same time He reminded me that all I need to remember is to call upon Him and to believe that He hears me.

I praise God that He never gives up on me. I praise Him for the people He has brought into my life. I praise Him for answering my prayers of healing. I praise Him for just who He is!

I thank and praise God for every minute and every second of the day! I have AIDS and God see fit to let me live a very full and promising life, I have a life long partner now going on 5 years, and Aids going on 10 years. But if anything it has got me more closer to my savior. He of all listens and understands more than any human could possibly conceivce. I love my God, he is whom I lean on for everything, he is my strength and my power and my honor I am most thankful that with him all things are possible and no human being can take that away from me!

I would LOVE to PRAISE GOD for LIFE and for looking down and LOVING ME!!!!

I am so thankful for my relationship with Dwight. It’s been a short 6 months, but it’s been the best months of my life. I pray that God will continue his work in both our lives.
