I am so grateful and blessed to have found this site.
I am reading Candace Chellew’s book, Bulletproof Faith: A Spiritual Survival Guide for Gay and Lesbian Christians, and it has helped me so much. It has renewed my faith in God and encouraged me to not to commit “spiritual suicide.” I was a minister in the Assemblies of God and left because they would not accept a lesbian minister when I finally found my “authentic self.” Candace’s writings have encouraged me to seek ministry opportunities within the UCC.

I would like to say thank you. I have been looking for a really long time for a place anywhere for me to find the words of God withou someone telling me I am wrong. I am a 24-year-old female and got married on Oct. 31, 2008 I can’t tell you the eyebrows that were raised when I said I was married to my wife under God’s eyes.
It’s so hard to find a church that will take me as I am. My wife has a different view on God but we both belive. I am still looking for a chruch in my area but this is a great start. So from the bottom of my heart, thank you, and much love. Please never stop what you are doing.

I just discovered your site and love it. A whole new world has opened up to me. My teenage son recently revealed he is transgender, so I am dealing with all of that and trying to educate myself, accept, help him, etc. Your site has been a Godsend, literally.
I have always been a follower of Christ who believes in loving and accepting all people. Unfortunately the majority of organized religion is rather closed minded and fearful. Just wanted to say thank you for a great job and all the info I am discovering here!! Thanks.

It is wonderful to see those verses that are usually thrown in my face telling me what a perverted sinner I am being explained in a whole new light and non-hatred kinda way. I believe that it doesn’t matter about your sexual orientation, at the end of the day God knows our hearts and like you say it’s our personal relationship with Him that really matters. Who is man that he may judge us anyway?
