Will God Still Love Me?
Rev. Turner:I hope you will keep me in your prayers. I am a Christian a single mother of 2 children, and I am attracted to women. I know in my heart that a women is who I want to spend my life with. I love Jesus so much and I don't want to do wrong in His eyes. I feel a large sense of hopelessness. Does God really love me the same, and will His love be just as strong and His kindness I don't want to lose that. Please, Pray for me to have a peace with God and within myself to be who I am.
Thank you kindly,
Robin
Dear Robin,
" God, who knows the heart, showed that He accepted them by giving the Holy
Spirit to them, just as He did to us."
"I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known by them ... And
other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and
they shall hear my voice: and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd."
"He brought me out into an open place; He rescued me because He delighted in
me."
"Beloved, Let us love one another: for love is of God; and everyone that
loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God;
for God is love."
"For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor principalities, nor
powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor
any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which
is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
"Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name, thou
art mine. When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and
through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through
the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon
thee. For I am the Lord thy God, the Holy One of Israel..."
"For thou didst form my inward parts, thou didst knit me together in my
mother's womb. I praise thee, for thou art fearful and wonderful.Wonderful
are thy works! Thou knowest me right well; My frame was not hidden from
thee, when I was being made in secret, intricately wrought in the depths of
the earth. Thy eyes beheld my unformed substance; in thy book were written,
every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there was
none of them."
"Jesus said to them, "I am the bread of life; he (she) who comes to me shall
not hunger, and he (she) who believes in me shall never thirst. But I said
to you that you have seen me and yet do not believe. All that the Father
(Heavenly Parent) gives me will come to me; and (those) who come to me I
will not cast out."
"He (She) who has my commandments and keeps them, he (she) it is who loves
me; and he (she) who loves me will be loved by my Father, (Heavenly Parent)
and I will love him and manifest myself to him (her)."
"If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you will, and
it shall be done for you."
"You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go
and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide; so that whatever you ask
the Father (Heavenly Parent) in my name, God may give it to you. This I
command you, to love one another."
Being gay or lesbian is not the horrible thing that many people seem to
believe it to be. Please note that while many think the Bible speaks
against homosexuality (and it doesn't), there is far more in there about
living and being true to ones heart, to having faith in the God of love.
You will certainly be in my prayers. I will pray God would give you
a sense of God's presence and peace as only God can give. I will pray that you understand deep in your soul that you are a part of God's creation, that
God made you just the way you are and asks only that you love your Creator.
Despite what the world says, or people say no one can change who God has
made you to be and no one can separate you from the love of God which is
yours through Jesus the Christ!
God Bless,
"For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that
whosoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life. For
God sent the Son into the world, not to condemn the world, but that the
world might be saved through him. He (She) who believes in him is not
condemned; he who does not believe is condemned already because he has not
believed in the name of the only Son of God."
I have quoted these verses to you from the Whosoever web page, to put
them right in front of you so that you might grab onto the idea that God
does in fact love you, that God cares for you, that God wants the best for
you. You said you love Jesus. That is all that is needed.
