I just love country gospel music. Tom T. Hall has a talent for packing wonderful theology into a great little tune. When I heard this song, I thought, "that's my experience in a nutshell."

Me and Jesus got our own thing going, and we don't need anybody to tell us what it's all about. But, alas, you find tons of people who want to tell you what your Jesus experience should be all about. The religious right calls press conferences and has the gall to tell GLBT Christians that they can't even have a Jesus experience. But, me and Jesus got it all worked out.
